This floor was done using the epoxy dirty pour technique! The colors used were black, turquoise, khaki, coffee and brass! If you're interested in purchasing a floor kit check out our website: 🤍 Leggari Floor Kits were designed to transform your floors into something new and unique by coating your existing concrete, tile, or wood flooring. Floor Kits are fun and easy to install. You can have a designer floor that will last for decades in 2 days with our unique floor kits, custom made to your projects square footage. Our Metallic Epoxy is a next generation system that’s 100% pure solids using the finest raw materials that includes proprietary additives for working time, thickness, flow and marbleization that are vital when achieving our dynamic effects . Our Metallic Epoxy is a decorative, durable and chemical resistant coating, available with a High Gloss or Matte Finish. If you can paint your flooring then you’re more than qualified to install a Leggari Floor Kit. Our Metallic Epoxy Floor System is leading the decorative resin industry for thickness, durability and scratch resistance with our High Wear Top Coats. Our Metallic Epoxy Floor System is the thickest, most durable user friendly coating on the market hands down. Our floor kits go down at 45 square feet per gallon while our competitors are installing epoxy floor systems at a coverage of 60 to 120 square feet per gallon. When you install epoxy that thin you will never get the dynamic looks, flow, marbleization, and effects that our Metallic Epoxy System creates. When you choose our system you’re getting an industrial grade product with proprietary additives specifically designed to create longer working time before setting up. It will bond better, last longer, has higher scratch resistance and it is 2x to 3x thicker than any other product available while still having competitive pricing. Order with confidence knowing you’re getting the best system available that has been tested and proven. The process! PREPPING THE SUBSTRATE OR SURFACE One of the best ways to prep your surface is diamond grinding. You can rent concrete grinders at most rental stores. The next best way is using an etching chemical to etch the surface of the concrete. You can also sand the surface if the before mentioned methods can’t be done. If you can only prep minimally or can’t prep at all we have a Prep Replacement Primer to help achieve a strong bond. We always recommend prepping the concrete surface first. Priming the floor is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the floor is completely pigmented. Wait 1 hr (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat. METALLIC EPOXY COAT For this video we used the dirty pour technique. We show you how we mixed it and how it's poured creating a beautiful natural look. HIGH WEAR TOP COAT We offer 2 different gloss sheens in our Urethane Top Coat. The Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or Satin Finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and leaves a minor texture which gives it the extra durability. Apply it within 24 hrs of installing your floor kit or you will need to sand the surface before applying it. Leggari.com has you covered! SUBSCRIBE: 🤍 ↓↓↓↓ LINKS BELOW! Our garage/workshop floor was NASTY! I have always wanted to do an epoxy floor coating in the garage but honestly, it seemed way to hard to pull off. I finally decided to make it happen and I am excited to say that it worked! I saved a TON of money doing it myself and we couldn't be happier with the result. We use this area multiple times a day and every time I step foot on it I am thankful I did it. At the end of it all, it only cost me about $800 compared to nearly the $4,000 it would have cost me to have it done. Below, I have a detailed YouTube video, all the steps I followed to complete the project and the links to everything I used. I am certain that you can do it! #EverythingAboutConcrete #MikeDayConcrete This is an epoxy flake garage floor coating we're installing for a customer. The customer wanted 1/8" flake called "White Granite". The first thing we do is prep the floor by grinding it. Most people on YouTube tell you to wash and etch the floor with some type of etching solution. As a professional epoxy flake coating contractor, I'm telling you that's not what we do. EVER! Acid etching the concrete will not create the proper surface profile for epoxy to adhere to long term. It might look good for a short while, but it will start to peel off the concrete, especially where you drive in and out every day (under the tires). I'm showing you in the video the proper way to prep your concrete so the epoxy flooring will bond and last for a long time. It's not quite as easy as it looks on most of the videos you see on YT. There's some hard work to do this right and you need to know the proper sequence. There's some steps we do on all our epoxy garage floors that has worked for us and given us really good success. I outlined all the steps in an easy to follow video training course below for those of you who want to ensure you're doing this right. You can follow us on 3 different epoxy flake garage floor coatings as I break down each step, showing you what and how to do it. I also tell you what products, tools, and equipment to use for the best results. Check out the course below! I put this video together to help anyone wanting to do their own epoxy floors. The products used for this floor are Arizona Polymer Flooring APF E400 in Safety blue. The clear coat is APF P100. APF Epoxy 400 🤍 APF P100 🤍 We put epoxy over new concrete, cut epoxy is a great option to go over old concrete and make it look like new. Because epoxy has color in it, it doesn't matter if the concrete is old and has stains on it, as long as you clean it really good, the epoxy will stick very well to concrete and give you an amazing look. Epoxy is not limited to solid colors, you can also do metallic epoxy floors, which use metallic flakes to give you amazing variations in colors and make it look amazing. Many people do metallic epoxy floors in their garage to enhance the look and give them a show room look. You can also put epoxy over wood. If you have a countertop, you can seal the wood with APF P250 first, and then put epoxy over it, and come back with a food grade clear coat to make it food safe. Epoxy has tons of different uses not limited to concrete. I hope this video helps you tackle your own project. Wise Coatings brought in more than $100,000 in revenue within the first four months after it opened in 2021. How did this epoxy garage floor business grow so quickly? Founder Brandon Vaughn shares the answer in this interview! Brandon has built something extraordinary at Wise Coating, and you could become his partner! He is offering UpFlip viewers an exclusive discount on the start-up fees! Learn more about this great opportunity by visiting this link: 🤍 Brandon had some experience with growing a business before he started Wise Coatings. He grew his previous service business to 70 employees in six seasons, an experience that taught him the importance of systems, hiring, and marketing. He put that expertise to use when he started his new epoxy flooring business, quickly scaling it to nearly $500,000 a month in revenue with profit margins up to 25%, a very impressive return on his $45,000 start-up investment. It may be hard to believe from those numbers, but Brandon actually started Wise Coatings as an experiment. He wanted to show that it was possible to grow a business without spending any time in the field or answering sales calls. Instead, he focused on building scalable systems and perfecting his marketing. His experiment has proven to be a resounding success, though not without its bumps along the way. He’ll share the biggest challenges he faced growing Wise Coatings, along with how he overcame those difficulties in this interview. When you choose our system you’re getting an industrial grade product with proprietary additives specifically designed to create longer working time before setting up. It will bond better, last longer, has higher scratch resistance and it’s 2x to 3x thicker than any other product available while still having competitive pricing. Order with confidence knowing you’re getting the best system available that has been tested and proven. Learn about the floor installation process here: PREPPING THE SUBSTRATE OR SURFACE One of the best ways to prep your surface is diamond grinding. PRIMING THE SUBSTRATE OR SURFACE Priming the floor is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the floor is completely pigmented. Wait 1 hr (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat. METALLIC EPOXY COAT Applying the Base Coat and Highlights is the funnest part. Mix your pre-measured Base Coat, pour it out across the floor and begin to spread out the epoxy with your rubber squeegee getting it as even as you can. Our Epoxy self-levels so don’t worry about getting it perfectly even. Quickly roll over the surface with your paint roller to help even out the epoxy. Now mix your pre-measured highlight color and apply it to the base color, then blend it to your desired look. HIGH WEAR TOP COAT We offer 2 different gloss sheens in our Urethane Top Coat. The Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or a Matte Finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and leaves a minor texture which gives it the extra durability. Apply it within 24 hrs of installing your floor kit or you will need to sand the surface before applying it. Concrete slabs as the foundation substrate, but they provide two very different types of flooring surfaces better suited for different types of environments. Polished concrete is created by repeatedly running specialized industrial grinding machines with ever finer polishing heads across a treated concrete slab to form a smooth, burnished surface. So, let's get started. Number 1. The Benefits If the floor is light to medium general service and will not be exposed to harsh chemicals, extreme pH substances, wet processing, food production or packaging, toxins or potential environmental contaminants and the like, then polished concrete may be an adequate, relatively low-cost solution. However, because polished floors require regular re-polishing or other professional maintenance, they may not be ideal for some 24/7 or mission critical operations; any facility choosing polished floors should be willing to budget for and schedule the rerouting of traffic or cordoning off of work crew areas on a routine basis. Number 2. Epoxy Flooring Advantages Epoxy flooring and other high performance resin-based systems are available in a variety of formulations designed specifically to protect the integrity of the concrete slab when subjected to a broad spectrum of environments and usage. The right epoxy flooring can provide a truly amazing list of special benefits, such as improving the concrete floor’s weight-bearing capacity and impact resistance, imparting puncture and abrasion resistance, providing static control protection as well as the ability to withstand some of the most extreme conditions found in biotech pharma, food and beverage, chemical and many other processing and manufacturing operations. These protections far exceed those offered by polished concrete. Number 3. What’s the best choice If budget is a top priority, you may be inclined to opt for polished concrete. Do keep in mind, however, that while concrete finishes may require a smaller upfront investment, they don’t deliver the durability of an expertly installed epoxy floor. If toughness, safety, and longevity are chief concerns, or your space receives a lot of wear and tear from foot, vehicle, or machine traffic, epoxy flooring is for you. Epoxy flooring also offers a whole host of unique, customisable finishes that you just cannot achieve with concrete alone. Number 4. Polished concrete flooring Polished concrete flooring is economical, attractive, and environmentally-friendly, making it popular among businesses and style-savvy homeowners alike. The smooth, lustrous look is achieved by grinding the surface of the concrete and using a polishing machine to create the desired finish, whether that be matte or a mirror-like gloss. Which is better: Epoxy Floor Coating or Tiles? There are several factors to consider when choosing a flooring solution for areas exposed to high foot traffic and the movement of heavy objects. One should consider these factors in order to select the best option and avoid future repairs and expenses. 1. Traffic and Load Capacity An epoxy floor is recommended for areas exposed to high foot traffic and the movement of heavy machinery and equipment. On the other hand, tiles tend to break under such conditions. 2. Areas of Application A floor coating epoxy is highly recommended for warehouses, garages, showrooms, storerooms, manufacturing plants, and other areas with similar functions. Tiled flooring, on the other hand, should not be used in these areas. 3. Properties The flooring material should possess abrasion resistance and high compressive strength in order to withstand heavy traffic and loads. For this, and epoxy flooring is much more recommended compared to tiles In this video, you will learn the advantages of using an epoxy floor coating for areas exposed to the movement of heavy objects and high foot traffic. What Is The Best Epoxy Floor Coating? In this video we will go over the different types of Concrete Epoxy Coatings. Explain the main reasons to use an epoxy coating on your interior or exterior concrete surface. And rate the Top Epoxy Coating for your concrete surface. All reviews and ratings on ConcreteSealerReview.com come from our 25+ years as Exterior Restoration Contractors Concrete Surfaces and Epoxy Coatings Concrete comes in many surface types and typically needs to be sealed or coated to prevent deterioration over the years. One of the more popular concrete coatings types is the Epoxy Coating. They have proven these coatings to be some of the most durable concrete coatings. Epoxy Coatings can be used for both interior and exterior applications, but most are used for interior or covered surfaces. Ideal for concrete types such as garage floors, warehouse floors, industrial floors, shop floors, basements, concrete patios, and concrete countertops. Different Types of Concrete Epoxy Coatings Not all Epoxy Coatings are made the same. Epoxy coatings come in both watered down formulas and 100% solid resin-based formulas. The generic water-down formulas are sold at big box stores and the high-end 100% solid epoxy coatings are sold by individual concrete coating manufacturers that specialize in making these high end coatings. We have not had much luck with the Big Box Store Brands that are sold as DIY Kits. Brands such as Rust-Oleum, Valspar, Quickcrete, and Epoxy Shield have a short life span and wear/peel in a short period of time. The DIY Kits sold at Big Box Stores are more or less thick paints only and will never perform as well or have a long lifespan. The Best Epoxy High-End Coatings are 100% solid, high build garage floor resin-based coatings that undergo a chemical reaction that results in a thick coating, tightly bonded to the prepared surface. These coatings are 2 part systems that when mixed, catalyze into a superior thick bond that is 4-5 stronger than the DIY Epoxy Kits sold at Big Box Stores. The 100% solids Resin-Based Epoxy Coatings are what we use as contractors and are what any quality professional will use. Why use an Epoxy Concrete Coating? -Prevent hairline cracks due to water expansion during freeze/thaw cycles. -Prevent water penetration and seepage of water through foundations. -Drastically enhances the appearance. -Prevent damage from deicing salts during winter months. -Provide protection from "Pitting" or "Spalling" deterioration of the concrete causing chunks of the concrete to separate from the concrete structure. -Easier to Clean and Maintain the surface.
