In a Dutch factory, there’s a revolutionary chipmaking machine the whole world has come to rely on. It takes months to assemble, and only one company in the world knows how: Advanced Semiconductor Materials Lithography. CNBC got an exclusive tour inside ASML’s cleanrooms to see how these $200 million EUV systems print minuscule designs on advanced microchips using exploding molten tin, the flattest surface in the world, and light so narrow it’s absorbed by air. Once ASML is done building and testing an EUV lithography machine, it’s so big that it needs to be disassembled and loaded on 20 trucks or three 747s for shipment. Only five customers can afford EUV machines, the biggest being TSMC, Samsung and Intel - and ASML export controls keep ASML from sending any to China. Here’s a rare, inside look at how nearly 800 suppliers come together to create the technology required to print every advanced chip powering the digital world, from data centers to iPhones. Call an ambulance but not for me 😂😂
This didn't aged well 😂
You are done ASML an Netherlands, you are getting your reward you deserved for being one of the loyal puppet Allies of US policies.

Easy to check news, in one place
Who has the mind to actually understand all of this? And then actually improve on it. Amazing!
Just heard tsmc cut the order from their major suppliers, including ASML. Sounds like ASML also relies on the world.
Only for the time being.
Please keep the technology away from China. Sharing is not caring 😊😊😊
Its just monopoly... such machinery should be easy to manufacture nowadays, some competitor will definitely rise in the market
Wheres your dumb courts on this monopoly of technology who target google hah?? 😂😂😂
The world has the luck that that the Netherlands is a peaceful nation that only wants the best for every person on our planet and make a pretty good buck by doing so, unlike the US that only goes for profits without taking it's citizens welfare into account. We will be better off without the US our dictating political, economical and US defense policies, or else...
That's what I've learned about America while watching their every move towards self destruction for the last ten years..
ASML days are numbered.
On what moral grounds does the ban on China's purchase of advanced chip be justified? None, other than US defining national security as her need to have a hegemonic position of the World.
But Huwei just make phone
You truly merit our heartfelt gratitude for sharing this exceptional article and video.
behold, china is catching up
What about the UK's Fish N Chips Act?
Just don't sell one to china.
Why is this company getting bullied by the US to not sell to China. I honestly dislike the US so much. What makes China a security threat any more than the US is itself??? The US spies on everyone else, bullies everyone else and helps no one in the process other than themselves, yet China must suffer instead? Well then they'll have to see. Because the Chinese have and can develop at an astonishing rate. They're making unbelievable cars and other types of technology. It's only a matter of time before everyone will be asking them for machines and chips. China doesn't rest and sit back. They'll come back fighting. Also, China at least helps and tries to uplift most of the countries it operates in or partners with. What does the US do? The US just uses people and countries and then dumps them when they're finished. I can't believe other countries are so spineless to let the US bully them in to this. So disgusting.
Why only the iPhone? You mean all phones?
