Welcome to Classics Are Better my friends, here we appreciate & celebrate CARS & Trucks from the 1950s to early 2000s. We aim to show that any one can get out and wrench on a classic, and make their car or truck just a little bit better. Today we are removing an old broken chin spoiler from my 1967 Camaro and installing a new one. This will work for 67-68 Camaro & Firebird as it is pretty straight forward. The previous owners had unfortunately welded on the support brackets for the old spoiler. After some sparks & stripped screws we get the new chin spoiler on & the old girl is looking good again! I ended up not using the hardware that came with the kit. As it was cheap plastic, I found it easiest to use some larger screws and washers to secure the spoiler to the lower valence, and then added a supplied support bracket on each side, and anchoring that with a self tapping screw with a rubber washer on it. I decided against a center bracket as it was unneeded and I had already ground the anchor spot smooth from the weld I cut off, and painted it (fancy I know). When two guys with the same name both have badass American rides, what better way to showcase them than a feature video together. Jarrod came to me wanting to have his Nova shot in a revealing type of way. As ideas were being tossed around, Jared's Camaro came into talk and we decided to make a small skit with them. We start at Jared's self-business shop where he gets in Camaro to take a small drive. Like any car enthusiast, when we see a new location or sometimes just going to an old spot, we'd drive off and park the car just for a picture. What car person hasn't done that? So the skit starts after Jared parks the Camaro. We wanted to have the Nova being heard from a distance as Jared would notice. Basically this represents any car person who hears an engine roaring as we look around to see what caught our interest. Now surely there's been some days that a bystander may actually stop by to talk to because they noticed your car off the road. It's just a common occurrence for anyone with an interesting car. However, we twisted the normal approach and did it without dialogue to show people can think alike. We didn't reveal the Nova with a big impact as Jarrod originally wanted, but after doing the work to make a skit, we believe this may have been better and it was fun to mock up. When the two bump fists to acknowledge each other, the video proceeds to show off the cars. All audio was recorded on a Zoom H1n. It was such a challenge to get the right audio for certain scenes. For someone not well verse in audio, I think I did a good job for what it is. - Big thanks to these guys for taking the time to come out to shoot on multiple days whether I need to get certain shots/scenes or re-record audio. Part 2 – I show how to measure the current position of the deck panel and spoiler on the glass hatch and how far they must be moved forward. Then I remove the fasteners holding the deck panel to the hatch glass and trim and use a putty knife to break the bond of the foam tape and butyl caulk so that the deck panel can be removed. Finally, the panel is removed from the glass.

Have you been in a fully equipped 2019 Camaro with the live vision rear-view mirror and say "Oh I have to have this". Now you can with this kit from Gen5DIY. This kit is available for all 2019 Camaro models (except for the ZL1-1LE), that didn't come with the live rear-view mirror from the factory. For those with 1LE models (Non-ZL1) that have the 3 piece design spoiler, our kit will come with a new center section that has the camera pre-installed into it. For those with the wing spoiler or Blade spoiler the kit will come with a new wing spoiler with the camera. If your 2019 doesn't have a spoiler, please contact us prior to ordering. All spoilers will have to be painted when you receive them. The kit comes complete with the following items: Correct rear spoiler, with camera, for your VIN#. Spoiler must be painted when you receive it, we do not ship them painted. New Rear-View Mirror Harness kit Please contact us, prior to ordering, with any question's.
